Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have the pattern for ___ ?

My patterns are not for sale.

Why are your prices higher than (insert any retailer)?

My plushies are hand crafted soft sculptures and are one of a kind works of art, not mass produced factory items. I do not have the huge price breaks factories get when buying dozens of bolts of fabric and I believe my time and effort is worth minimum wage at the very least. The more complex the plushie and the more expensive the materials used, the higher the price will be.

Is it kid safe?

My crafted items are not intended for children and many are of primarily of decorative natures. I do my best to source safe materials and use secure production techniques as appropriate.

Can you copy (insert item) that I saw for sale elsewhere?

No, I will not copy someone else's product. If someone else already made it then please support that artist and buy from them.

Can you turn my original idea into a plush or a figurine?

If it is a cute friendly family safe idea I will likely be happy to do a commsioned work.

Can I pay after it is completed?

Full payment of commissions is requested at the start although arrangements can be made if needed. Custom orders will not be started until a minimum of 50% of the estimated material and labor costs are paid.  Items will not be shipped before full payment of price and shipping cost are cleared.

Payments outside Etsy can be made through PayPal or by Paypal/Visa/Mastercard/Discover/Klarna and more when through Etsy.

What if I want to cancel an order?

Cancellations of custom orders will only be fully refunded if no new materials have been purchased and no work has been started. Partial refunds may be offered based off design and work time and material costs.

Cancellations for purchases through Etsy are accepted up to six hours after purchase.

No cancellations can be made after purchases have shipped.

What about shipping?

Shipping charges are separate from item quotes. Please include your postal code so I can give estimated shipping charges. Nominal handling charges may be added if special packaging is required.

In stock items will be shipped within 1-3 business days of cleared payment. Custom items will be shipped within 1-4 days of completion and cleared payment. I will ship USPS at the quickest and closest priced method to the listed shipping charge. All shipping charges and customs and /or duty (if applicable) will be the responsibility of the buyer.

NOTE International orders: Sadly, I no longer ship outside the US.

Shipping can be delayed for many reasons beyond my control. Please allow for a large lead time if you are hoping for arrival by a particular date.

What if I want to return something?

If there is a problem with your order please contact me. Items (with the exception of earrings, face masks, custom orders, and clearance or de-stash items) may be exchanged if returned in the original condition and within the return time period (contact within 3 days of delivery, ship back within 7 days of delivery.)

Buyer will be responsible for all shipping charges and must be sent via a trackable method.

Please note all sales are final on custom orders after shipping. I will send photos for your approval before shipping. As much as I love plushies, my kids have already adopted enough of them. :-)

Why isn't ___ in your Etsy shop anymore?

The item may have been sold already or the listing aged out and I did not renew it.If you see an item on my dA page or website and it isnt in my shop but want to buy one please message me to discuss a custom request.

Allergy warnings?

My items are created in a smoke free and pet free home. Fabrics have been pre-washed but may have used a scented detergent.

Materials FAQ

Fabric Things

The majority of my fabrics are of imported origins and have been purchased through large retailers like Joanns or  I prewash my fabrics before use and those detergents may be scented.

My plush creations are a combination of machine stitching on consumer grade machines and hand stitching.

Not all my fabric creations are machine washable. The best method is often to spot surface clean as needed and air dry.

Most of my jewelry findings are silver or gold plated and are lead and nickel free.  . Moisture, air, oils, and acids can react with metal jewelry and cause it to wear down and tarnish.  To prevent premature tarnishing try to store pieces in low air no moisture environments when not in use (like zip plastic bags.)

Fashion jewlery should removed before swimming/showering and handled with care.

All laser cut items are done in-home.

Skull Goblets

The pewter pieces used in my skull goblets are modern pewter and are lead free.  Hand wash only with mild dish soap and rinse out well after use. To maintain their best looks skulls should not be scrubbed. They are not dishwasher, oven, or microwave safe and should not be submerged or subject to extreme temperatures.

Upcycled Items

Fabric for my upcucled creations are often from second hand stores. Some of these items are still new with tags.

Each is washed before being crafted into a new project and these detergents may be scented.

Due to the nature of material acquisition most upcycled creations are one of a kind or very limited batches.

Koreena's Creations is a small hobby venture of hand crafted items made by Katrina C. in Marietta, GA. Her sometimes eclectic collection of items for sale is a result of a desire to test her abilities in a range of categories and a general desire to make craft things that interest her.
